How you can help

  • Research

The Mazowe River Game Reserve is a venue for scientific research on our fauna and flora. Current projects include the browsing preferences of giraffe and reintroduction of vultures. Iain Jarvis has an amazing depth of knowledge and Hippo Pools Wilderness Camp offers a fantastic range of 'specials' for birding enthusiasts as well as comfortable accommodation.

  • Support

Get together with friends or work colleagues and help us raise money for our work. The Minerva Beaders designed, wrote and published "Minerva Spirals" a delightful book of beaded jewellery that has built classrooms and teachers' houses.  Go to to buy a copy. Contact us for ideas on fundraising. Thank you.

  • Visit

Maka & Tsitsi offer a warm welcome to visitors. Have an amazing time walking with Leon our head game scout, visiting village homesteads with Nzwanai the Headman, meeting teachers and pupils at our schools.  Go bird-watching with Tadious; listen to Iain's bushman's stories around the campfire. All this is in a safe environment with experienced guides. Contact us for details.

The Big Picture
